Good questions

How Kaya works, answered.

What does kāyā mean?

kāyā (pronounced KAH-yah) is Sanskrit for the body. MyKayaWellness reads literally as "my body's wellness," and that is the whole idea: a simple system for taking care of your body, published openly. We chose a Sanskrit word on purpose: tending the body you have is an older idea than any wellness trend.

Is Kaya Wellness a clinic?

No. Kaya Wellness is an independent wellness publication. We do not provide medical care. We publish clinically grounded guidance, and where medicine is needed we point to aligned, licensed practices, including Medi-Weightloss® for medical weight loss.

What exactly is a guided journey?

The philosophy, assembled for you. A guided journey combines services that fit together: for example, a medical weight-loss program through Medi-Weightloss®, an approved meal-prep kitchen, and an approved gym. You connect and transact directly with each provider. Kaya curates and guides.

What does "kāyā approved" mean?

A kitchen, food truck, gym, or studio that we vetted against the philosophy: quality, credentials, honest ingredients or honest coaching, clear pricing, no miracle claims. The mark applies to food and non-medical services only; medical care is never "approved," and care decisions stay with you and a licensed provider.

Which areas does Kaya cover?

Central Texas: the greater Austin metro, Round Rock, Georgetown, Sun City, and the Brazos Valley around College Station.

Is Kaya connected to Medi-Weightloss®?

Yes, and we say so plainly. Kaya Wellness, LLC provides management and administrative services, as a management services organization, to Vitality Health Partners PLLC, the independent, physician-owned practice led by Dr. Daniel Dawson that delivers Medi-Weightloss® care in Central Texas. Kaya does not practice medicine; all clinical care and decisions belong to that practice and its licensed providers.
